Narrow bridges above the stage from which scenery and lighting equipment can be handled. Some lighting catwalks above seating area.

The front of the stage closest to the audience.
Up stage
The area toward the back of the stage.

The center of the stage
Left wing
Off stage by cabinets.
Right wing
Off stage by piano
Coves
Areas along side of seating behind wall.
Teasers
Type of border used to frame the audience’s window onto the stage. Hides stage lights.
Main Act
Red curtain
Grand valance
Black curtain
Legs
Vertical curtains or flats used to hide the wings from the audience’s view.

Separates stage from auditorium
