What do SVP workers do for Local Activity?
Members visit people in need in their homes, care homes, hospital and in prisons. As well as visiting people, they offer practical help like doing the shopping for an elderly person, showing friendship or providing food.
What do SVP Workers do for Special Projects?
The SVP offer a range of additional services, depending on the need. In the past, this has included bigger projects that help the local community, such as doing soup runs for the homeless, offering free furniture, providing accommodation to vulnerable people, running children’s camps, disability projects and offering free advice to asylum seekers.
