ST segment depression + elevation Flashcards
1
Q
Differentiate between normal ST-segment and ST elevation
A
Under normal circumstances, ST segment remains on isoelectric line.
Elevation or depression is pathological (ischaemia)
2
Q
What is the criteria for ST-elevation?
A
To be significant:
(1) >=1mm in 2 consecutive limb leads OR
(2) >=2mm in 2 consecutive chest leads
3
Q
Look at ST elevation and depression
What does elevation and depression suggest?
A
Elevation: infarction
Depression: ischaemia
4
Q
State the evolution STEMI on an ECG
A
5
Q
Look at the ischaemic territories and then state it
