Symptoms of ST Qi Def?
A
- Uncomfortable feeling in the epigastrium
- No appetite
- Lack of taste sensation
- Loose stools
- Tiredness, especially in the morning
- Weak limbs
T – pale
P – empty, especially on the right middle position

Symptoms of ST deficient Cold (Yang Def.) ?
A
- Discomfort in the epigastrium which is worse after BM
- Better after eating
- Better with pressure or massage
- No appetite
- Preference for warm drinks and foods
- Vomiting of clear fluid
- Loose stools
- No thirst
- Cold limbs
- Tiredness
T – pale, swollen
P – deep, weak, especially on the right middle position

ST Yin Def ?
A
- No appetite
- Fever or feeling of heat in the afternoon
- Constipation with dry stools
- Epigastric pain
- Dry mouth and throat especially in the afternoon
- Thirst but no desire to drink or desire to drink in small sips
- Feeling of fullness after eating
- T – red and peeled in the center, or with coating “without root”

ST fire Phlegm?
A
- Burning sensation and pain in the epigastrium
- Thirst with a desire to drink cold liquids
- Constant hunger
- Swelling and pain in the gums
- Bleeding gums
- Sour regurgitation
- Constipation
- Nausea
- Vomiting soon after eating
- Bad breath
T – red, thick-yellow-dry coating
(if P-fire, thick-yellow-sticky coating, or yellow prickles inside a middle crack)
P – full, deep, rapid (if P-fire, slippery, full, rapid)

ST Cold Invasion?
A
Sudden epigastric pain
- Feeling cold
- Preference for warmth
- Vomiting of clear fluid
- Feeling worse after swallowing cold fluids which are quickly vomited
- Preference for warm liquids
T - thick, white coating P – deep, slow, tight

ST Rebellious Qi?
A
Nausea - Belching - Vomiting - Hiccup T – no changes Tight on right middle position

ST Food retention?
A
No appetite - Fullness and distension of the epigastrium which are relieved by vomiting - Nausea - Vomiting - Foul breath - Sour regurgitation - Belching - Insomnia T – thick coating P - full, slippery
