How were Abbasid different from Umayyads?
The Abbasids family claimed to have descended from hazrat Abbas.
Therefore, claimed that they were rightful heirs of caliphate because they have close blood ties with the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) while the Umayyad were rival clan
