What would happen if there were no natural resources?
People all over the world will suffer because of a lack of access to important resources like water, food, stuff to build shelter, and essential materials for heating, and it will be really difficult to have a good and healthy lifestyle.
How does wealth affect power?
- people who are wealthier than others have more power
- because rich people are given more opportunities
- For example a celebrity with lots of money has more power than a random homeless person.
Why do we use laws even though they affect people?
- No laws = no discipline in the society.
- We have laws to help the society run well and so there is no chaos or violence.

How is quality of life worsened or improved in a democracy?
Quality of life is positively affected in a democracy. This is due to a number of factors providing more power to the citizens of the country, such as: more leniency towards laws and a better justice system, their input affecting the course of the country, and the ability to petition. This allows citizens to provide more input to the nation, allowing their quality of life to differ negatively and positively, and to speak their voice in a way that lets them adjust the state of the nation according to their needs at that moment. This is a really powerful thing as the citizens are given power to control their own lives in a good living condition provided by the government. Petitions (and actions by the people) are probably the best thing if you are looking to target a specific issue, since with a bit of effort, you can target the things that are inconvenient or impeding your life or job, instead of having to generalize your ideas via voting for a whole party. Additionally, you are in very little risk of the government falling/becoming corrupt, due to the distribution of power between citizens, other parties, and different roles in the government. This distribution keeps the government more stable than otherwise, and gives the citizens more tranquility, as they are sure that a dictatorship won’t strip away their rights the next day.
Choose a factor in quality of life other than wealth resources and technologies and explain it and give examples.
- Natural and Living environment = factor
- adverse weather and clean resources = how we assess this factor
- Adverse weather conditions can affect people by stopping them from work
- clean resources are important for human survival
- humans need clean water to survive.
What is the difference between power and authority and how does it affect those who are being ruled/governed over. Why?
- Authority is the right to make decisions
- power is the ability to control people to their will based on what they have that others don’t
- people ruled by authority are more likely to respond and accept their orders because authority is gained unlike power which is forced and the people can resist authorities
How do physical characteristics affect the way people look at you well in public and what are some ways they can better the way they are looked at by using media?
- Physical characteristics such as Missing body parts, weight and skin color can all affect the way people look at you
- 9/11 people looked poorly on the muslims as terrorists.
- the stereotype is still there
- They can better themselves by putting themselves out on social media
