LInes that run horizontally along the earth, they measure distances north and south of the equator

“half” of the globe

the line of latitude that divides the earth into the northern and southern hemisphere
What is the Prime Meridian?
the line of longitude that divides the earth into the eastern and western hemisphere

exact spot on Earth where a place can be found
What is relative location?
the location of a place in relation to another

climate, landforms, bodies of water, plants and animals
What are human characteristics?
created by humans - language, religion, cities, landmarks, cultural traditions
What is movement?
how places are linked together around the world. How people, goods, ideas move from one place to another
What is the difference between push factors and pull factors:
Push factors are why people leave a place (war), pull factors are what bring people to a place (jobs, family)
What is human-environment ?
how humans interact with the environment
