Enslaved Africans
People from Africa who were forced to give up their freedom and spend their life obeying and working foe their owners or masters they were treated as property that could be bought and sold.
Dilemma
Situations in which a person is forced to make a choice even though there is no good choice to make
Middle passage
The voyage of slave traders and enslaved Africans across the Atlantic Ocean to the Americas
Plantations
A usually large of privately owned land where crops were grown with labor of workers or slaved who lived on the land
Americas
The continent of North and South America along with nearby like those in the Caribbean Sea
Slave auctions
A slave in which were sold to buyers who bid money for them. Usually the slave was sold to whoever bid the highest
Overseer
A person who was put in charge of work of slave the overseer had great power over the slave and could punish them if they disobeyed them.
