Land as Soon as Practicable
Extended flight is not recommended and the pilot should proceed to land the plane, but not necessarily at the first or closest landing location. The landing location and duration of flight remains at the discretion of the pilot in command, after considering all factors related to the safety of the flight.
Land as Soon as Possible
Land without delay at the first site at which a safe landing can be made.
