True length Lines
Perpendicular to the viewer’s line of vision are true length lines.
Foreshortened Lines
Object, construction or element line that appears to be shorter than it actually is because it is slanting towards or away from the viewer.
True length triangle
is a right-angle triangle whose horizontal leg is equal to the length of the foreshortened line (taken from plan view) and its vertical leg is equal to the vertical height of the fitting. (from elevation view).
Face line
The face line is a perpendicular line representing the branch opening for an elbow or a Y branch.
Vertical height
is a measurable lenght.
Hypotenuse is the side of what kind of triangle.
