Rapidly progressive painful rash
Monomorphic punched out lesions 1-3mm
Eczema herpeticum
Photosensitive rash with blisters and fragile skin across face and dorm of hands
Porphyria cutanaea tarda
Itchy papular rash with white lines on surface. White lace pattern mucosa
Lichen planus
White itchy patches around genetalia
Lichen sclerosus
Tense, itchy blisters at flexures. No mucosal involvement
Pemphigoid
Flacid easily ruptured blisters with erythematous painful mucosa
Pemphigus
Brown velvety plaques over axilla, neck and groin
Acanthosis nigricans
Pearly, flesh coloured papule with telangiectasia
BCC
Tender, erythematous lesions over shins
Erythema nodosum
Target lesions, starting on dorsal of hands and feet then spreading to torso
Erythema multiforme
Flat, scaly pink or brown rash in groin or axilla
Erythrasma
Hyperpigmented papule with central depression or dorsal of hands and feet, and extensor surfaces
Granuloma annularae
Pink scaly patches on trunk and limbs, tear drop shape. Recent sore throat
Guttate psoriasis
Telangiectasia around and in mouth and on fingers. Nosebleeds
Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia
Golden crusted lesions around mouth
Impetigo
Volcano like appearance. Started at smooth domed papule then develops crater
Keratocanthoma
Purple non blanching reticulated rash
Lived reticularis
Pearly papule with central umbilication in clusters
Molluscum contagiosum
Itchy red patches of different colours
Mycosis fungoides
Brown scaly rash on sun exposed sites. Associated diarrhoea and low mood/forgetfulness
Pellagra (nicotinic acid deficiency)
Herald patch on trunk, then 1-2 weeks later widespread erythematous oval scaly patches
Pityriasis rosea
Hypopigmented or pink patches with scale and mild pruritus. Evident with suntan
Pityriasis vesicolour
Very itchy blisters on palms and sores, worst in the heat and humidity
Pompholyx
Sudden onset pustule/blister, followed by skin breakdown to painful ulcer. Purple border and deep ulcer. Generally unwell
Pyoderma gangrenosum
Linear lines on sides of fingers and interdigital webs. Intense itchy
Scabies
Red, crusted lesions around anus and orifices
Zinc deficiency
