What is an open skill
Where the playing environment constantly changes Reasons for this are opposition, teammates and weather
What is a closed skill
It has definite start and end point and the player controls the pace and the environment has minimal impact
What is a basic skill
A simple skill that is easy to execute ( needs little thought to do)
What is a complex skill
Needs full focus to perform and maybe learnt in phases due to the difficulty
What is a gross skill
A movement involving big movements using large muscle groups
What is a fine skill
Involves precise movements and small muscle groups
What is a self-paced skill
The start is controlled by the performer as is the speed and pace e.g long or high jump
What is an externally paced skill
The start is controlled by an external factor
What is a skill
A learned action/behaviour with the intention of bringing about pre-determined results
What is an ability
A inherited abilities from your parents or traits that help to learn skills

Performance and outcome
