AC Joint
the joint formed by the acromion of the scapula and the clavicle.
Glenoid Fossa
a slightly concave projection of the scapula.
AC Separation
a traumatic sprain to the AC joint, usually caused by a direct blow to the shoulder.
Head of the humerus
the upper portion of the humerus bone, where the bone attaches to the scapula.
Acromion Process
the lateral triangular projection of the spine of the scapula that forms the point of the shoulder and the articulates with the clavicle.
Glenoid Labrum
a ring of cartilage attached to the margin of the glenoid cavity of the scapula.
Hills-Sach
Indentation of the posterior humeral head, resulting from the humerus hitting the glenoid during dislocation.
Brachial Plexus
a group of peripheral nerves that leave the spinal cord and extend from the vertebrae into the shoulder.
Rotator Cuff
a collective set of four deep muscles of the glenohumeral joint.
Stinger
a burner or nerve pinch injury, is a neurological injury suffered by athletes.
SC joint
the joint between the manubrium of the sternum and the clavicle bone.
Biceps Tendon
inflammation or irritation of the upper biceps tendon.
DOMS
the pain and stiffness felt in muscles several hours to days after unaccustomed or strenuous exercise.
Dynamic Stability
The characteristic of a body, such as an aircraft, rocket, or ship, that causes it, when disturbed from an original state of steady motion in an upright position.

Acting together:a group of muscles act together to enhance the movement of a joint or limb.
