Conduction block in axons of spinal nerves or their roots

A
- Neurological loss - Radicular pain

What is radicular pain?
A
Pain deriving from damage or irritation of the spinal nerve tissue, particularly the dorsal root ganglion

What can cause radiculopathy?
A
- Intervertebral Disc Prolapse - Rupture of annulus fibrosis and sequestration of the nucleus pulposus (most commonly lumbar) - Degenerative diseases of the spine - spinal canal stenosis (most commonly cervical spine)
