A
- Spinal immobilisation
- Thoracic Elevation
- consider Anti-Emetic
- Extricate on combi-carrier if necessary

A
- Increased injury risk (Vertebral disease/abnormalities)
- Difficult Assessment (Age, Intoxication, Altered conscious)
- Evidence of Structual injury (Midline tenderness)
- Reduced neck range of motion

What constitues a Neurological Motor Exam
A
ARMS: Pull, Push, Grasp
LEGS: Push, Plantar flex, Pull, Dorsi Flex, Leg Raise

What constitues a Neurological sensory Exam
A
Reduced sensation or no sensation when
- Palms + back of hands are touched (C6-C8)
- Light touch to lateral side of calcaneus (S1)

Pathophysiology of Neurogenic shock
A
- Spinal cord injury above T6
- Acute swelling to spinal cord
- Reduced Sympathetic Tone
- Vasodilation
- Reduced sympathetic drive to Heart
- Decrease in Heart rate
- Overall reduction in cardiac output
- Shock
- Coma
- Death
