Which letters do you usually double at the end of one syllable words right after a vowel?
At the end of one syllable words, usually double the letters S, F or L right after a vowel. The rule is also the same if it is a compound word or if suffixes or prefixes are added to the one-syllable word.

When do you use the words, to, too and two?
Two = is the number 2.
There are two different ways to use “too”. There’s if it’s excessive and “Also.” Also can replace too, so if you have a sentence like “is he coming too?” Well if you can say “is he coming also?” Then the correct spelling is too.
To is used if the others don’t match to the sentence.
When do you use Accept and Except?
“Accept” is a verb, meaning to take or receive what is offered. Examples: I will accept this reward. I can’t accept this painting.
“Except” is not a verb, instead it’s a preposition or a subordinating conjunction. It’s meaning is: but, excluding, leaving out.

Indicates possession. Examples: That horse is protecting its rider. That team just reached its goals.

When do you use: c, k or ck at the end of words?
For the ‘k’ sound, use ck after a short vowel in one syllable words. Use k after a consonant, a long vowel or the phonogram ‘oo.’ Use c at the end of multi syllable words.
