Provides the audience with clear understanding of the concept/idea presented by the speaker

It’s your main point and can be determined once you have decided on your purpose. If you are free- choose one that really interest’s you, there are a variety of strategies used in selecting a topic.
Topic
Making your main idea more specific & focused. Same strategies can be used as when selecting a topic.
Narrowing down a topic
You collect ideas, information, sources, and references relevant or related to your specific topic. It can be done by: visiting the library, browsing the web, conducting an interview, etc. The gathered data will be useful in making your speech informative, entertaining or persuasive.
Data gathering
Structures that help organize ideas related to the topic.
Writing pattern
A hierarchical list that shows the relation between your ideas. It helps you see that all your ideas are in line with your topic. Once your outline is ready, two-thirds of your speech writing is finished.
Outline
It provides explanations, examples, and details that can help the speaker to deliver the purpose.
Body of a speech
It’s the foundation of a speech. Goal: Get the attention of the audience and to present the subject or topic of a speech. First few words should do so!
Introduction
Restates the main idea of your speech. It provides a summary, emphasizes the message, and calls for action. Goal: To leave the audience with a memorable statement.
Conclusion
Correcting errors in mechanics, such as grammar, punctuation, capitalization, unity, coherence, and others
