1st Section(Introduction and overview of degrees)
Thanks, Claire, for the skills that are needed in this industry.
As the space industry is growing rapidly, companies need many different positions with create more variety of degrees.
Going off of the business world, such degrees include operations, business analytics, marketing, and management.
2nd Section(Intro, Degrees and higher degree)
For each degree, they explore the many possibilities space holds.
Firstly, operations handle the process of essential planning and execution of space missions and infrastructure.
Business analytics examine trends in the space industry to identify new markets for satellites, launch services, space tourism, and other space-related products and services.
Marketing contributes to influencing individuals to be aware of space and what the future holds.
While management is a broad degree, it is more versatile which leads to many opportunities.
With all of these degrees said certain positions require a higher level of education, with the more risk involved.
3rd Section(Programs)
CU Boulder offers some courses on Coursera that focus on the space industry including entrepreneurship space operations and space commerce.
4th Section(Companies(3))
Now moving on to job opportunities One private company already involved in the space industry is United Launch Alliance, which is accepting internships to provide business students with exposure to real-life space launches.
Astroscale is based out of Denver, Colorado, and it is thse first private company with a vision to secure safe, and sustainable space development as said by the CEO. Astroscale has job opportunities for commercial operations.
Another private company is Astra, which has openings for accountants and supply chain managers to help improve life on Earth from space.
5th Section(Last silde(companies(SpaceX and Tesla, 2 others and wrap up)
At SpaceX, their looking for ways for people to live on Mars as internships and job positions are available for operation majors.
Many other companies are branching out into the space industry, including Boeing and Blue Origin which have many other positions open to graduates.
