Psoas sign: extend RT leg against resistance
McBurney’s point: 1/3 up from ASIS toward umbilicus
Rovsing’s sign: press on LLQ, elicit pain on RLQ
Obturator sign: pt on LT side, flexion of knee, internal rotation of thigh
Multiple Sclerosis
Llermitte’s sign: electrical sensation that travels down neck/back when neck bent forward (shock-like feeling is short/intermittent)
Hoffman’s sign: involuntary flexing of the end of the thumb and index finger
Cervical radiculopathy
Spurling’s sign: turn pt head to affected side while extending and applying downward pressure to the top of the patient’s head, + means pain radiates along affected side/arm
Meningitis (signs of meningeal irritation from Subarachnoid hemorrhage too)
Kernig’s sign: w/ pt supine flex hip with knee at 90 degrees then extend the leg, positive if that hurts
Brudzinski’s sign: flexion of head/neck leads to hip/knee flexion
Benign positional vertigo
Dix Hallpike Maneuver (tilt test)
