A

b. Periapical = images the apices of the teeth and surrounding bone. (in a single arch)
i. Examine single image or in combination (FMS).
ii. Conditions that are exposed include: abscess, fractures, large carious lesions, extensive periodontal involvement, and examination of developmental anomalies (such as missing teeth and abnormal patterns, or unexplained pain or bleeding).
iii. Paralleling or bisecting technique
