SHESEA - Adequate standard of living, Health, Education, Employment, Safety and Security, and Sense of Identity.
what are needs
the necessities of life, which are required for life. e.g food, safety, love, acceptance. there are both primary and secondary needs, primary being biological.
what are wants
preferences or desires not needed for survival or good health. e.g car, television, money. wants and needs will be changed during a persons life span.
what does maslows hierarchy show
needs lower down in the hierarchy must be satisfied before individuals before needs higher up can be addressed.
what are the levels of maslows hierarchy
physiological needs, safety, sense of belonging, esteem needs, and self-actualisation
