what is an adaptation
a characteristic or behaviour of a species allows it to survive and reproduce more effectiiivekyq
what is gene flow
genes will flow from one generation to the next as different families or groups in the population choose partners and mate

isolation, when a population divides into two groups
what can happen when populations divide
the two populations can become so different that they are incapable of interbreeeding, therefore become reproductively isolated and are different species, they have diverged
what is a diverge
two species can experinece different sekection pressures and grdually become more different, leading the two species to become reproductively isolated

the process that results in the creation of a new species

a structure that is found across organisms and has a similar plan but different function

that the organisms originated from a common ancestor but during the course of evolution these structures modified and are used for different purposes as a result of different selection pressures

structures in organisms that perform the same function but are structurally different
