5th card, The Hierophant, represents conservatism, conformity, doctrine and dogma. It’s an authoritarian card. The number five’s symbolism is of freedom. In a way, The Hierophant represents the opposite attributes of the number five.

7th card, The Chariot, is often depicted incorrectly from its numerological point of view. In the Rider Waite Smith deck, the chariot, and its harnessed sphinx’, are at rest, which is correct, not in motion, charging forward.

12th card, The Hanged Man, should incorporate some attributes of the number three (12 => 1+2=3). But as its theme is sacrifice, waiting and suspension, it’s difficult to see any aspect of the three in it.

Traditionally Strength was 11 and Justice was 8. This change was probably to correct Tarot’s Numerology as Strength better represents the power of eight, and Justice better represents the balance of two. (11 => 1+1 = 2).
