What is the job of the nerve cell?
To carry electrical signals to the brain.
What are the adaptations of the nerve cell?
Long and thin to stretch over the whole body.
Where is the ciliated epithelium found?
Our throat/airways.
What is the job of the ciliated epithelium?
Sweep mucus + dirt back up our throat.
Where are the sperm cells found?
In the testicals.
What is the job of the sperm cells?
To carry genetic information and fertilise the egg.
What are the adaptations of the sperm cell?
Has a streamlined head + lots of mitochondria for energy.
Where is the red blood cell found?
In the blood.
What is the job of the red blood cell?
To carry oxygen around our body.
What are the adaptations of the red blood cell?
It contains haemoglobin,has a disc like shape and no nucleus.
Where are the egg cells found?
In the ovaries.
What is the job of the egg cell?
To carry genetic information.
Where is the palisade cell found?
On the surface of the leaf.
What is the job of the palisade cell?
To carry out photosynthesis.
