Function= swing to egg

Features

  • tail for swimming
  • streamlined shape
  • mitochondria to respire and release energy
  • enzymes to digest through egg wall

A

Function= carry oxygen from lungs to cells

Features

  • haemoglobin sticks to oxygen
  • large surface area to increase diffusion of oxygen
  • no nucleus so extra room for haemoglobin

A

Function= open and close pores in leaves

Features

  • kidney shapes which opens and closes the stomata
  • becomes turgid to open
  • becomes flaccid to close
  • thin outer walls and thicker inner walls
  • sensitive to light so close at night to save loss of water
