Tinels
Tap nerves either at cubital fossa, guyon’s canal, carpal tunnel
Finkelsteins
Make fist and ulnar deviate. To assess for EPB and ABPL tenosynovitis (de Quervains)
Reverse Phalens
Push palms together in wrist extended position fingers superior. For median nerve palsy at carpal tunnel.
Phalens
Push dorsum of hands together fingers inferior. For median nerve palsy at carpal tunnel.
Froments
Paper between thumb and 2nd finger in pinch grip. Assesses ADP weakness due to ulnar nerve.
Bennediction
Make fist - only 4th and 5th fingers flex. Medial nerve palsy.
Slocums
Ant. drawer with int and ext rotation of knee. Assessed anterolateral and anteromedial instability.
Ant drawer
ACL - >3mm , >10mm is severe.
Post drawer

Mcmurray
Knee flex to extend with IR and varus for medial meniscus and ER and valgus for lateral meniscus.
Pivot shift
Knee extend to flex with axial and valgus force. ACL
Bounce home
Rapid knee extension. Medial meniscus.
Apleys
Grind - pain, pull - decrease pain. Meniscus.
Thomas
Hip flexor range. 10 ext.
Patellar apprehension
Move patella and note patient response towards movement towards instability (eg Alta).
