what is the robin sequence
combination facial anomalies that occur because the lower jaw or mandible does not develop normally. The lower jaw is small and set back in relation to the upper jaw. the baby’s tongue is position further back in the pharynx than normal and obstructs the airway. common for babies with the robin sequence to also have a cleft palate
what is choanal atresia?
The nasal Airways obstructed by bone or tissue. newborns normally breathe through their nose, there for babies with choanal atresia may have difficulty breathing unless they are crying and breathing through their mouths
