Celestial Body’s
A celestial object is a naturally occurring physical entity, association, or structure that exists in the observable universe.
The Moon
The moon orbits are planet. The moon controls the tides on our planet.
Eclipses
An eclipse happens when the moon blocks out the sun. Eclipses don’t last very long they normally last 2-3 minutes. The longest ever eclipse lasted 7 minutes.
Gravity
Gravity is a natural phenomenon by which all things with mass or energy—including planets, stars, galaxies, and even light—are brought toward one another. On Earth, gravity gives weight to physical objects, and the Moon’s gravity causes the ocean tides.
Comet
A comet is an icy, small body that, when passing close to the Sun, warms and begins to release gases, a process called outgassing. This produces a visible atmosphere or coma, and sometimes also a tail.
Asteroid
Asteroids are small, rocky objects that orbit the Sun.
Meteor
A meteor is a space rock that enters Earth’s atmosphere. As the space rock falls toward Earth, the resistance of the air on the rock makes it extremely hot.
