Reason for the Soviet Invasion of Hungary: Warsaw Pact

A

The Soviet Union could not accept Nagy’s demand for Hungary to leave the Warsaw Pact because this would weaken the Soviet Union’s defences and might also lead to other countries trying to leave the Warsaw pact.
