1955 Geneva spirit ( first summit after Potsdam conference); USSR proposes the mutual disbandment of NATO and Warsaw Pact and the signing of a separate European security treaty
However Federal Germany’s entry into NATO in 1955 results in the establishement of Warsaw Pact by the USSR
