What normally provides fuel to the engines?
Primary Ejector Pumps
What is the back up for the Primary Ejector pumps?
Electric Boost pumps
How is fuel delivered to the Feed Hopper?
Gravity and 3 Transfer Ejector pumps on each side
What is the total Fuel Capacity?
SPR - 1,600 gallons (10,800 pounds)
Over Wing - 1,660 gallons (11,120 pounds)
Where is the Electric Boost Pump and Primary Ejector Pump located?
In the Hopper Tank
How many sump drain are there?
3 per wing
How do you fuel only one wing?
Pull the Pre-Check on the wing NOT being serviced
How do you De-Fuel one wing only?
Pull the respective Pre-Check lever
When do the Electric Boost Pumps come ON?
When selected ON or Automatically in the NORM position: 1. Engine Start 2. X-FEED 3. Low Fuel Pressure
What other time will the right Electric Boost Pump be scheduled ON automatically?
When the APU is started and operating with the right Engine shut down
What happens during a low fuel pressure event?
- Electric Fuel Boost Pump comes ON automatically
- FUEL PRESSURE LOW message extinguishes
- Amber FUEL BOOST PUMP L/R message appears
What type of valve is the X-FEED valve?
Motor valve
Can you X-FEED on EMER power?
No
What type valves are Firewall Shutoff valves?
Motor valves (fails in last position)
Motive flow valves are NC valves, but are usually OPEN, when do they close?
- No electric power
- Engine Start (on respective engine)
- X-FEED (on receiving engine)
