How welcome were these migrants?
There were acts and laws which made it very difficult for migrnats to come. They faced discrimination.
What were some positive examples of experiences?
People were welcomed by everyone on their street and it was said to be a friendly atmosphere. They made English friends and learned the English language and culture.
What were some negative examples of experiences?
People in Britain generally didn’t like them. They were abused when they were going about there daily lives. They dressed like English just to fit in even though they didn’t want to.
