A dainty and usually electric-less hut that poor people live in.
What is GDP?
The amount of money a country owns from producing (yearly income).
What is Carnival?
A 90 minute parade that Brazil celebrates four days before lent.
What is gasohol?
Gasoline made from sugar cane (made in Bolivia) and used for cars.
What is a literacy rate?
The amount of people in a country that are able to read or write.
What factors help Brazil become more powerful?
They have the rainforest, and many world events that they host.
What does the Amazon forest and river supply for the world?
It has a lot of trees and natural resources. These trees are cut down (sadly) to supply us with lumbar.
What are two major resources in Brazil?
They have iron ore, and gold. The iron ore is good for steel production and the gold is an important resource because of its popularity.
List 2 important resources for Venezuela.
Venezuela has hydropower and diamonds. Hydropower is water energy, so that’s good, and diamonds are very luscious minerals.
List two transnational issues in South America and why they are bad.
Human trafficking- people are being exploited and used for hard laboring purposes.
Drug trafficking- drugs are being illegally smuggled across borders and causing criminal actions.
Why don’t the U.S. And Venezuela get along?
Hugo Chavez was president once. While he was president, he tried to over throw the government and stuff like that. He is also a communist leader.

Brasilia
What are tributaries?
Small rivers that feed into larger rivers.
How many miles does the Amazon forest cover?
2 million square miles.
What are Bolivias two capitols?
Sucre and La Paz
