Coastal Plain
Low, flat, land near to the sea.
Plateau
High, flat land.
Escarpment
Mountainous land which slopes steeply towards lower land.

Physical Features
These include natural features such as moutains, hills, rivers, valleys, waterfalls, coastlines, capes, and bays.
River
Channel of fresh water that flows towards the sea.
Stream
A small river.
Spring
Water from underground bubbles up to the surface.
Valley
U/V-shaped part of land which slopes down and often has a stream/river flow through it.
Gorge
A valley with very deep and steep sides.
Tributary
River that joins the main river
River System
Main River and all its tributaries.
Catchment Area/Draunage Basin
Area of land where rain water runs off into a river system.
River Mouth
Where a river flows into thesea.
