(“Aprtheid”-literally means keeping apart, meaning balck and white people apart) A rigid policy of racial segregation frormerly practiced in the rebpublic of south africa involving political, legal, and economic discrimination against non whites.
Explain the difference between Segregation in South Africa and Segregation in the United States
4 races(whites, blacks, Indians, colored(mixed)) Black people were banished from their homelands
Segregation wasn’t completely the same in every state in us but in South Africa, it was much more nationwide

Formed to investigate apartheid and prevent it from happening in the future, reconcile the country, never created to punish those who committed the crimes, avoided revenge, share experiences, create black/white government.
The concept of “Homelands”
Outside of the major cities, is where black people were allowed to be.
