controls the colony of Jamestown and built a fort in 1608.

the daughter of the Powhatan leader who then married John Rolfe in 1614.
Pocahontas
servants who signed a contract to work for four to seven years for those who paid for their journey to America.
Indentured servants
A group of indentured servants, led by Nathaniel Bacon, attacked a group of friendly Native Americans. When the governor tried to stop him, Bacon attacked and burned down Jamestown. At one point, Bacon controlled much of the colony. He died of a fever, however, and the rebellion soon ended.
