Q

what is the application of sounds (Sonar technologies)

A

it emits sound pulse into the water and listens for reflected pulse. reflected pulse comes from the shoal of fishes. The strength of reflected pulse depends on how far the fishes are. After the reflected signals are processed by computer, fisherman’s can determine the location of the fishes.

Q

what are the application of sound (reverse sensors of cars)

A

the sensor installed at the back of the car uses echolocation to detect obstacles. As the reversing car gets closer to an obstacle, the sensors beeps faster to warn the driver.
