Equipment required for signaling sound?

A

less than 12m: some means to make sound signal
Over 12m: Whistle
Over 20m Whistle + Bell
Over 100m: Whistle + Bell + Gong

A

One long 3 short, immediatly after the signal made by the towing vessel (one long 2 short)

Vessel at anchor in restricted vis

A

5 secs ringing on bell every 1 minute
if over 100m, followed by 5 seconds ringing on gong aft.

may also ring 1 short, 1 long, 1 short if posibility of collision with approaching vessel

A

Same as anchor with addition of 3 distict strokes on bell before and after the ringing of bell
