Consonant+ base consonant
Second consonant is pronounced liked a double consonant
Base consonants
ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅈ
Base consonant + ㅎ or ㅎ + base consonant
Base constant is pronounced like a strong consonant (ㅎ is absorbed)
ㅌ+이=
ㄷ+ 히=
ㄷ+이=
=치
=치
=지
ㄹ+ base consonant
Base consonant will become double
Does not apply to ㅂ
And only sometimes applies to ㄱ
ㅂ/ㅍ + ㄴ/ㅁ
ㅂ/ㅍ pronounced as ㅁ
ㅂ+ㄹ
Whenever ㅂ before ㄹ, ㅂ will be pronounced like ㅁ, and ㄹ will be pronounced like ㄴ
ㄱ+ㄹ
Whenever ㄱ before ㄹ, the ㄱ becomes pronounced like ㅇ, and the ㄹ becomes pronounced like ㄴ
Consonant+ ㄴ/ㅁ
Consonant pronounced like ㄴ
This does not apply to ㄱ, ㄲ, ㅋ, ㅂ, ㅍ, ㅁ, ㄴ, ㅇ, ㄹ
Applies to ㄷ, ㄸ, ㅌ, ㅈ, ㅉ, ㅊ, ㅅ, ㅆ, ㅎ
One exception is ㄷ ㅌ before ㅁ, will be pronounced ㄴ
ㄱ/ㄲ/ㅋ + ㄴ/ㅁ
ㄱ will become pronounced like ㅇ
ㅅ+ ㅣ/ㅑ/ㅕ/ㅖ/ㅐ/ㅅ/ㅠ
ㅅ is pronounced like “sh” instead of “s”
ㅇ/ㅁ + ㄹ
ㄹ becomes pronounced like ㄴ
ㄴ+ㄹ
ㄹ+ㄴ
Whenever ㄴ is before or after ㄹ, the ㄴ becomes pronounced like ㄹ
Syllables ending in ㄹㅎ or ㄴㅎ and followed by the vowel ㅇ
the ㅎ becomes silent
