Lola M. Parker Award (Outstanding Women of the Year)
Given to a member of internally within Iota Phi Lambda to recognize soros who have contributed the most to the soro during the past two years, includes national and local projects and community activities.
Mahala S. Award (Outstanding Soror of the Year)
Encourages local chapters and regional directors to participate in the work of promoting career education among Chapter members auxiliaries and youth groups that are sponsored by Iota. Activities seek to broden the youth’s awareness of the ever challenging and widening horizons of the world of work.
Career Exploration
Provides motivations to youth especially in the inner city… “excellence with out compromise”
Tutorial Project
seeks to help local communities learn and become more aware about the crisis of teenage pregnancy and attempts to develop effective action agendas for assisting children from having children.
Toys U Can’t Return: Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program
Embracing Males and Females from 10 - 20 and train them to become hopeful business leaders.
Future Iota Leaders (Youth Leaders)
an outreach service to meet the need of teens and disadvantaged mothers ages 11-40. It includes tutoring networking interviewing shadowing monitoring and training programs.
Iota Mothers Assistance Program
Academic Scholoarships awarded to high school seniors on local regional and national levels based on test scores and additional criteria.
