  1. Recall history of donor’s travel outside place of residence within the country and outside the country
  2. Illnesses, history of medical consultation within past 6 months and medications taken
  3. No fatty foods 1 day prior to MBD and on the day of MBD
  4. Adequate rest – 6 to 8 hours sleep
  5. Hydration – 8 to 10 glasses of water; no alcohol, minimize coffee and caffeinated beverages
  6. Full non-fat breakfast at least 2 hours before blood collection
  7. valid ID with picture, full name and date of birth
