Four Part Chorus (SATB), Three Oboes including: a taille (Cor Anglais); strings consisting of violins I and II, viola, cello and violone (double bass); and continuo provided by Harpsichord

Violins and viola double soprano, alto and tenor lines, cello ‘shadows’ the bass (heterophony)

Vocal duet, soprano and bass, soprano is doubled by oboe (occasional heterophony)

Violins I, II and violas provide an obbligato line in unison (a prominent and essential independent melody), supported by continuo
