Solubility shit Flashcards
when are group 1 ions soluble
always
when are nitrate ions soluble
always
when are NH3 ions soluble
always
when are halides soluble
soluble unless combined with silver lead and mercury (then it becomes insoluble)
how does a change in concentration impact the reaction?
shifts away from the side of the reaction you added it to
how does a change in pressure impact the reaction?
increasing pressure= shifts towards fewer moles
decreasing pressure= shifts towards more moles of gas
how does a change in temperature impact the reaction?
increasing temperature= shift away from heat/energy (endo favored)
decreasing temperature= shift toward heat/energy (exo favored)
how does a catalyst impact the reaction?
no shift bc the rates of forward and reverse reactions are increased by the same amount
how does a the addition of an inert gas impact the reaction?
shifts away from the side w/ more moles of gas
but it’s not affected when it’s in a closed system
