Q

All the metals in group _(a)__ are soluble. What are the names of these metals? (b)
Why are they soluble? (c)

A

(a) 1
(b) alkali metals
(c) Gr 1 metals form simple salts that are soluble because alkali metals do not have a high charge. Salts are held together through the attraction of opposite charges. Salts with ions of low charges are held less strongly together and can dissolve in water. more readily than salts held together by high/ strong charges.
