NO3-, C2H3O2-, ClO4-
SOLUBLE
NO EXCEPTIONS
Cl-, Br-, I-
SOLUBLE
except when any of these ions pairs with
Cu+, Ag+, Hg22+, or Pb2+
then the compound is insoluble.
F-
SOLUBLE
except when paired with
Pb2+ and fluorides of Group 2A(2)
then it is insoluble.
SO42-
SOLUBLE
except when it is paired with
Ag+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Pb2+, or Ca2+
then the compound it insoluble.
OH-, S2-
INSOLUBLE
exception:
both are soluble when paired with Li+, Na+, K+, or NH4+.
S2- is soluble when paired with Ca2+, Sr2+, or Ba2+.
OH- is slightly soluble (considered insoluble) when paired with Ca2+, Sr2+, or Ba2+.
CO32-, PO43-
INSOLUBLE
except when either of these ions pairs with
Li+, Na+, K+, or NH4+
then the compound is soluble.
