Solid State Storage Flashcards
How does SSD store a bit
SSD is made of flash memory
Flesh memory stores the value of each bit in a semi-conductor chip
How dos SSD access data
Data can be accessed randomly meaning that any piece of data can be accessed in a constant amount of time
This is because there are no moving parts
Reliability
They are robust as there is no moving parts although they have a limited number of read/write cycles. They will stop working after a certain number of re-writes

What are the properties of SSd
High Speeds, Good Capacity, Good reliability, High cost
