If using a gas torch what precautions should be taken?

A
  • Ensure the correct type of fire extinguisher is available
  • The gas must not be ignited within 15m of aircraft, MT vehicles, or inflammable stores
  • When lit, but not in use, the flame must be directed toward a metal or brick background.
  • In field conditions where the aforementioned is not available, flame is to be directed towards a safe area away from personnel.
