Orbit

A body that produces a coma of gas and dust, a small icy body that orbits the sun

When a meteoroid moving away from the asteroid belt hits Earth’s surface, it is called a meteorite.

The dark central region of a shadow such as a the cone of complete shadow cast by an object
Penumbra
A region of lighter shadow that may surround a dark central region

Ellipse
a flattened circle or oval.
Terrestrial planet
a planet having a compact rocky surface
Gibbous moon
A moon that appears more than half lighted but less than full
Crescent moon
A lunar phase whenever the moon is waning or moon that appears more than half lighted but less than full
Full moon
A lunar phase when the moon is fully illuminated
