Q

We’re all set

A

Yeah no worries couple of your neighbors were feeling that way initially too. Once they kinda understood a little bit more how this works it makes a lot of sense

Q

Don’t have time

A

Q

Doesn’t make sense

A

Yeah and if you’re like most of your neighbors they’ve looked at it a few years ago. Things have changed drastically in the last few years all that we’re doing is seeing which homes can qualify for a fixed rate for power if it works it’s just going to protect you from the bill jumping again our jobs pretty simple

Q

Moving

A

Yeah I understand what you’re saying, most people don’t live in their house for 20+ years. kind of the stigma with some of the solar programs out there is if you’re taking out a loan or leasing the solar you’ve got like a debt case it might be a little bit more difficult you know to sell the house. Alvin felt the same way he was worried about being able to sell the home in the future, what he found is that this just effectively transfers like a utility bill does and when he sells the home it’s hey you can live here and pay significantly less for power or you can buy my neighbors house and pay a lot more so it’s a perceived addition to the property

Q

Contract terms

A

Yeah I get where you’re coming from, it seems like you’re worried about being locked into a 25 year contract right? A lot of your neighbors felt the same way initially until they realized that they were already in a contract to buy power from PGE every single month. This was actually Peter’s favorite part of the program, anyone who qualifies gets a guarantee on their rate so you never have any surprises. He found that it gave him the peace of mind to not have to worry about surprises multiple times a year and he’s protected for the whole duration of the program so it was pretty awesome for him.

Q

Savings

A

Yeah I hear you, same thing with most of your neighbors. They kinda wanna know what’s really the benefit in it for them. Actually Wenzhou same thing his bill was around ____ a month so the savings I mean wasn’t going to make him a millionaire however what Wenzhou and most your neighbors are realizing when you look at the long term projection, you’re actually saving quite a lot more money over the long term and it’s not really about being able to retire early right? Nobody’s going to retire early because their electric bill is cheaper but what it does is it puts a little more money back in your pocket and anything you can keep in your pocket is better than giving it to PGE right?

Q

A lot going on

A

Yeah forsure we always have a ton of stuff going on right
What type of projects are you looking at
How long have you guys been planning or thinking about doing that
Idk if you know ___ he put the panels on _____ for him it made sense the projects been pending and so he’s like hey it made sense to put the panels on he’s been able to save some money and some of that went towards helping him with the garage in his case it worked out perfect, I imagine yours will be similar your guys houses are pretty similar so we’ll get the design back if it works great we’ll get you saving now and I know it’s in the radar and it hasn’t happen yet 2 3 4 years whenever that does come up it’s really easy to address it

Q

Spouse

A

yeah I know how it is. Same thing with the majority of your neighbors honestly. We don’t expect to find both of you home during the day. In fact Candices husband, same thing she wants me to come back when hes here. That’s actually how we do it. Today’s preliminary, I’m just going to give you the information so you understand just how it works and why we’re going to be in the neighborhood and how long we’re going to be here. Tomorrow is when I’m going to be coming back with the results and I’ll need her here anyways especially because she handles the bill. So today I’m just going to leave you with a little bit of information so she has a general idea of how this is going to work and then tomorrow night at 7 that’s when that’s when well reunite the three of us

Q

Bill is low

A

Totally understand Jessica! Most people on this block are pretty low users and feel the same way initially. In fact, your neighbor Cassie felt like solar couldn’t benefit her at all until she understood the new Time of Use structure. She found that being able to use her own power after 4pm, as opposed to exaggerated rates until 9pm, was a game-changer for her.

Q

I don’t think I’d be interested pt1

A

Yeah I understand what you’re saying, especially if your electric bill isn’t super high right now. The issue isn’t how much we use actually, it’s more the way we’re all being billed. Most people’s electric bills aren’t increasing because of the amount of power they use, but the way they charge us for power. I’ll show you what I mean on your electric bill and that should help, do you get that in the mail or via email?

Q

I don’t really want to waste your time pt2

A

Yeah I get where you’re coming from, and it may not be something that makes sense for this home. When you moved in here they likely didn’t give you an option for power plans, right? Now people have a choice, but it takes the right program to make sense. Give me just a couple minutes and I’ll give you some information so you can at least be informed on options, even if it’s just for the future.

Q

I always say not interested Pt3

A

You’re actually probably right to. There are a lot of people that aren’t offering a better plan for you. This will either work and be a better long term solution for your house or it won’t and you’ll keep doing whatever plan the utility dictates. If you qualify here, you’ll get a lower rate with some guarantees and some upgraded technology. If you don’t I’ll know pretty quick. I’ll be able to tell after entering some information real quick, do you have a table I can use to do that and then I’ll be out of your hair?
