Strongly leached horizon, light colored, platy structure.

Subsoil horizon of maximum development, “brown”, blocky structure.

Weathered “parent material”, “brown”, massive structure.
What is the R layer?
Hard bedrock.

A unique soil made up of distinctive layers.

The various horizons or sequence of horizons that make up the soil profile.

What is the SPZ of a Class 1 stream?
75 feet on either side of the ordinary high water mark.
What is the SPZ of a class 2 stream?
The protection zone of a class 2 stream is 30 feet.
What is the SPZ of a class 3 stream?
5 feet is the SPZ for a class 3 stream.
